Events list page

This page lists all events sorted by date with the most recent on top. Pagination by 50 events.
Choose different seasons with the season drop down that reloads the page with events list of different season.
 


Single event page

This page opens when the event link is clicked on the events page
Event page is a results page for the corresponding event that was uploaded.
It can include (admin configuarble):
  • Rank
  • Player Name (link to the player page)
  • Points
  • Prizes
  • Knockouts
  • Addon amount
  • Rebuy Amount
Other information displayed on the Event Page:
  • Tournament Date
  • Season Name
  • Tournament Name
  • Venue name
  • Link to Venue Leader board Page
  • Link to Overall Leader board Page



Venue Leader Board

Venue leaderboard displays all data from the events from that venue only. This page has a seasons drop-down selector also.
Venue information you can show:
  • Venue Name
  • Photo
  • Other information
  • Season 
  • Phone
  • Address
  • Link to see venue on the map - will open a small window over the page with google map
  • Link to website
  • Link to view prize details 
Below the venue information there is the Leader board and Events from that venue.
Leader board includes:
  • Rank (most points)
  • Player Name
  • Wins
  • Knockouts
  • Prizes
  • Rebuy Amount
  • Points (total points accumulated at that venue)
  • Final Tables (times ranked 1 to 9)
  • Games Played
  • Addon AMount
Events will include:
Will list all events for this venue and season. Each event displays date and event name, linked to the event page.

Overall Leader Board Page

It has the following:
  • Rank (most points)
  • Player Name (link to player page)
  • Points (total of all points)
  • Final Tables (times ranked 1 to 9)
  • Games Played
  • Wins
Overall Leader board includes data from all events from all venues in the selected season. This page has a drop-down selector for seasons

Player Page:

This page has three sections:

Player

Player section displays the following information:
  • photo
  • name
  • nick name (The Nick Name from the exported XML file
  • overall rank
  • games played
  • final tables
  • wins
  • trophies
"Seasons" drop down reloads this page for same player, but different season.
"Select player" drop down reloads this page for same season, but different player

Charts

This is just another graphical way to show the same results we already have. 

Player history

List of all of the events that player has attended in the selected season. 
Each of the events show the following information:
  • Date 
  • venue
  • tournament name
  • rank
  • points 

 

Administration Area


Website administrator

Joomla website administrators can:
  • create / edit / delete managers.
  • create / edit / delete seasons. Season have only a name, like "Season 1 - 2009", each event added to system will be tied to season.
  • Administrator marks one of the seasons as active. Active season will be selected by default on pages with seasons drop-down.
  • Configure which columns to show in front end leaderboards
  • Choose if Managers can see/ export player data
  • Configure at what point the DNP (Did Not Place) takes effect.
Events 
Admin can delete any events regardless of when they were added.

Merging players
 
Administrator will be able to merge two players into one. If a players name has previously been entered incorrectly and the Manager has since changed in the tournament software, we allow for this by the merge player feature. 
 
Administrator can also do everything managers can.

Managers

Managers do not have the ability to create more managers, they can only work with the component and can do the following:

Manage events

List events

When a manager logs in they see a list of previous events they created so they can delete if required (due to error) and an “Add Event” button to upload new event.

Create event
On this page manager browses for the exported XML file (XML is generated from thetournamentdirector.net software) and selects a venue from a drop down list (all existing venues are displayed) and season from a drop down list (all seasons are displayed).
XML has following information which is added to the database for this event:
  • Player Names
  • Ranks
    • If Rank = X then its shown as DNP (DNP = Did Not Place) Admin determin X in config options.
    • If Rank = 1 to X-1 enter rank as rank #
    • Component automatically tallies the times ranked 1 to X-1
  • Points
  • Tournament Date
  • Tournament Name
  • Email1
  • Email2
  • Phone1
  • Phone2
  • Notes
  • Payouts
When a new event is added an email is sent to all administrators and includes attached XML file.
Delete event
Manager can delete only events he created (in the case of error). Also manager can delete events only within 24hrs from adding the event. 

Manage venues 

Add new Venue including details:
  • Name 
  • Logo/Picture
  • Phone
  • Other Information 
  • Address (will be displayed on a venue page and used to find coordinates for google map)
  • Phone
  • Website URL
  • Prize Details (HTML field)
Manager can also edit venues he created but cannot delete.
 

Manage Player (If admin selects)

Managers see the list of all players which were created by upload XML files. There's a filter on a list players page to search all players by name. 
The only actions manager can do is edit player details:

 

  • Email (only visible to all managers)
  • Photo (only one image, visable to all on the user view page) 
  • Manage trophies. Managers can add trophies in manager area to players details.
